The Level 5 Diploma in Teaching (FE & Skills) is a nationally recognised teaching qualification designed for aspiring and practising teachers working with learners aged 14 and above.
Delivered through a flexible online model, the programme combines academic study with practical teaching experience, helping you develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to become an effective educator.

January Programme
Applications are now open for our January programme, and places are available to secure.
Standard Course Fee: £3,600
Early Bird Course Fee: £2,995
Flexible Monthly Subscription Option
Secure your place with a £115 deposit, followed by 24 monthly subscription payments of £120.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
To join the programme, applicants should normally:

Be aged 19 or over

Hold a recognised Level 2 qualification in English

Hold a recognised Level 2 qualification in Mathematics
-
Possess relevant qualifications and/or experience within their subject specialism

Be capable of studying at Level 5
-
Have access to a suitable teaching placement

Be able to complete 250 placement hours, including at least 150 hours of teaching practice

Be able to identify a suitable mentor and subject specialist within their placement setting
TEACHING PRACTICE REQUIREMENTS
As this is an in-service teaching qualification, practical teaching experience forms a key part of the programme.
Trainees are required to complete:

250 hours of total placement activity

150 hours of teaching practice

20 hours of live remote delivery
-
10 formal teaching observations
Teaching practice may take place in a variety of educational settings, including Further Education colleges, schools, adult education, apprenticeships, workplace learning, and training providers.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
ENGLISH AND MATHEMATICS
Applicants must hold the following:

GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics

Or an equivalent recognised Level 2 qualification
SPECIALIZED SUBJECT KNOWLEDGE
Applicants should possess the following:

TEACHING PRACTICE REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have access to sufficient teaching opportunities to complete:
