Entry Requirements
This qualification is suitable for adult learners aged 19+ who want to build a teaching career in Further Education or work-based learning. Whether you're switching careers, formalising existing teaching experience, or returning to education, this diploma is a flexible, supportive choice.
You’ll need:

Level 2 English and Maths

Level 3 or above qualification (or relevant experience) in your subject area

The ability to study at Level 5

Access to a placement to complete the practical teaching requirements
Hold a minimum of Grade C/4 GCSE or a Level 2 in Maths and English.
Hold qualifications and/or experience in their area of specialism.
Learners must complete 250 hours working with learner aged 14+.
