No. All sessions are delivered online. However, your teaching placement may take place at a local institution of your choosing.

The Level 5 Diploma in Teaching (FE and Skills) is an Ofqual-accredited qualification that prepares individuals to teach in the Further Education and Skills sector. It replaces the former Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET) and aligns with the latest Occupational Standards, equipping educators with subject-specific pedagogy, digital competence, and effective teaching strategies.
The course runs for 12 months and includes weekly live online 2 hours sessions during term time.
To enrol, learners must meet the following criteria:
Be aged 19 years or older.
Hold qualifications and/or experience in their area of specialism.
Demonstrate the ability to study at Level 5.
hold a minimum of Level 2 in Maths and English.
Have a suitable level of digital competency.
Pass a DBS check if required by their employer.
The course fee is £3,000, with flexible payment options:

Upon completing the course, learners will earn the Level 5 Diploma in Teaching (FE and Skills). Additionally, graduates are eligible to apply for QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills) status, which holds parity with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
QTLS is a professional status managed by the Society for Education and Training (SET). It involves a six-month process of reflective practice, evidence submission, and demonstration of professional standards. QTLS is recognised as equivalent to QTS, enhancing career opportunities in the education sector.
Yes, the course is delivered entirely online, with live weekly sessions, mentoring, and virtual classrooms. However, placement requirements involve in-person teaching.
